We eliminate any contamination of ventilation systems

The quality of air in the room depends on the effectiveness of the ventilation system, because it is through ventilation that the air that comes from the street is filtered. By cleaning the air flow, the system keeps all debris, including bacteria, inside. Over time, contaminants layer on top of each other, turning into a dense jam. Depending on the type of contamination, clogged channels lead to various consequences:

  1. Mud. It accumulates gradually. First, dust and sand from the street settle inside the channels. Poplar fluff, bird feathers, and other organic substances are added to them. After rain, moisture gets inside, causing it all to mix up. Fumes from cooking, household chemicals, and exhaust gases constantly settle on the mud deposits. This environment is favorable for the growth of bacteria, but is detrimental to health. It is enough to live in a room with clogged ventilation for several days to feel fatigue, constant headaches, and lack of sleep.
  2. Bacterial. The main composition of the mash includes organic matter and dust. This could be animal hair, bird feathers, which mixed with dust mites become an ideal environment for putrefactive bacteria. To completely eliminate congestion, cleaning and disinfection are used.
  3. Fatty. It is most often formed in areas for food processing and food preparation. The main cause of blockage is the ingress of oil/grease particles into the ventilation ducts. Even the most powerful kitchen hood cannot completely prevent fat from getting into the channels. Therefore, cleaning ventilation equipment is the only way to protect yourself from the consequences of plaque. It is in such conditions that microorganisms multiply, whose waste products affect humans in a similar way to ethylene glycol. Vapor poisoning from mash leads to dizziness, chronic fatigue, and asthmatic attacks.
  4. Building. The main reasons for the formation of construction-type congestion are violations of the rules for installation/repair of the ventilation system. This leads to the accumulation of construction dust, which mixes with moisture after rain, forming a blockage. Vapors from clogs negatively affect the body because they are toxic.

The appearance of congestion in ventilation ducts is easy to determine. At this moment, exhaust air practically does not leave the room, and fresh air flow appears only when the vents are open. Therefore, if the air is musty, then the ventilation ducts need cleaning/repair.

If the owners of their own homes can forget about maintaining ventilation equipment, then business managers will not be able to do this. During the inspection, inspectors from Rospotrebnadzor and the Ministry of Emergency Situations will remind you that ventilation equipment must be cleaned on time. If there are no documents about the procedure, a fine is issued and time is given to complete the cleanup. If the requirements of the regulatory services are not met, the activities of the enterprise are suspended.

What are the dangers of clogged ventilation?

Why is cleaning so important? It is this that allows you to maintain the air exchange system in a condition that is safe for its operation. It is the serviceability of the ventilation ducts that ensures:

  • normal circulation of air flows in the premises;
  • removal of excess moisture and evaporation;
  • elimination of pathogenic microorganisms, infections, as well as bacterial microflora;
  • there is no possibility for them to become clogged with waste from rodents or insects.

Regular disinfection of ducts and air ducts provides every opportunity to prevent the possible appearance of rodents, insects, and other pests. If these objects have not been sanitized for years, there is no need to talk about a healthy or comfortable atmosphere in the house as a whole and its individual apartments. Here we will talk about finding a solution that allows you to quickly and safely eliminate the sources of problems that have arisen.

Feedback from our clients: There were big problems with ventilation in the house, there was nothing to breathe in the apartments at all, the feeling was simply terrible, stuffy, damp, they couldn’t get rid of mold for years. But as soon as we got our teeth into the management company, everything worked out. We called the experts from your company, well-equipped specialists arrived, and did everything as it should. Breathing noticeably easier.

We clean ventilation systems and related work

Cleaning activities are carried out on the basis of approvals, licenses, and requirements for enterprises depending on the activity. To effectively clean ventilation ducts, technicians are equipped with high-quality modern equipment. This allows you to extend the service life of ventilation systems, prevent the costs of premature maintenance and the purchase of a new system.

Additionally we offer:

  • Visual and laboratory studies of the condition of channels and other climate control equipment.
  • Development of a technical plan for processing channels, restoring the factory characteristics of the installation.
  • Preventive measures for sanitation, taking into account the characteristics of ventilation and the type of deposits.
  • An individual schedule for carrying out the necessary work on site. A contract for regular maintenance is concluded.
  • Formal agreement, filling out your documentation. Such documents include processing logs of ventilation ducts, air conditioners, and other climate control units.

At the time of completion of the activities, the specialists take swabs and include the results of the final analyzes in the documentation. If desired, we provide photo/video reports on the work done.

Cleaning schedule

Most institutions comply with the “once a year” standard, however, in some industries, contamination of air exchange units occurs faster, and unscheduled cleaning work may be necessary. In potentially hazardous facilities, regular inspection of the system and testing for the presence of pathogenic bacteria (laboratory testing) should be carried out.

Cleaning should be carried out when:

  • the formation of mud growths on the walls, accumulations of dust in the corners,
  • the appearance of an unpleasant odor coming from the air duct,
  • development of pathogenic bacteria (sample analysis is required).

Stages of cleaning ventilation ducts

To achieve a good result, we follow the cleaning technology and stages:

  • The system is inspected visually, the structure of the channels is determined.
  • Swabs are taken to determine the degree of contamination.
  • An action plan for cleaning is created.
  • We coordinate the work with the client and approve the price of the event.
  • We conclude an agreement on mutually beneficial terms.
  • We carry out preparatory activities and deliver equipment to the site.
  • We carry out cleaning and take repeated flushes.
  • We clean the room after completing the procedures.
  • We hand over the property, prepare documents for reporting, and deliver them to the client.

Before carrying out work, we first assess the features of the object, taking into account which the team is formed. The team includes craftsmen with certain tolerances. For example, to clean air ducts at height, specialists with permission to work at height are sent.

Where is it absolutely necessary?

According to the requirements of current sanitary legislation, disinfection of ventilation and air conditioning systems is mandatory at facilities equipped with air handling units:

  • industrial and manufacturing sector;
  • transport;
  • medical, social, educational orientation;
  • large crowds of people (shopping and business centers, restaurants, clubs).

In residential premises, sanitary treatment is carried out on an application basis, targeted, at the request of the owners. In all other cases, the timing, frequency, and intensity of sanitization are strictly regulated and carried out in accordance with legal requirements. It is important to note that disinfection is the final stage of cleaning air exchange equipment. Accordingly, work must be carried out in a complex manner.

Feedback from our clients: In our neighboring bakery, our products were contaminated with bacteria, before Rospotrebnadzor was not a nightmare, now they require a report for every action. We also began to pay more attention to sanitation so that there would be no problems. We re-signed an agreement with a new company; it was the neighbors who collaborated with the old one. The check has already been done, there are no complaints.

Ventilation cleaning methods

  1. Cleaning with compressed air. To clean air ducts using this method, technicians use a powerful industrial vacuum cleaner. It is installed at the end of the channel and compressed air is supplied inside through a special tube. A plastic nozzle is installed on the reverse side, which lets compressed air into the channel at maximum speed. This creates a vacuum inside the system. All dirt is pumped inside the vacuum cleaner.
  2. Mechanical cleaning. Cleaning is carried out with mechanical machines, which are selected in accordance with the characteristics of the channels. Remaining contaminants after cleaning are fed by fans into the unit with filters.
  3. Chemical cleaning. Indispensable for fatty deposits. Before the procedure, mixtures of various reagents are selected that dilute the plaque. Residues after treatment are removed using an industrial vacuum cleaner.
  4. Cryogenic cleaning. The most gentle on equipment. For processing, a special installation is used, with which dry ice is supplied into the channels. Ice crystals cause micro-explosions inside, clearing the inner surface of plaque

Ventilation systems in an apartment building

All modern apartment buildings are equipped with two types of ventilation systems:

  • The vertical ventilation duct is led into the attic horizontal duct - through this system, air masses from all floors are directed into the horizontal duct and out.
  • Vertical air ducts lead to the attic - through this system, air masses are directed through a single ventilation shaft to the roof.
  • But these modern ventilation systems do not always cope with their functions. In the first case, air masses from the horizontal box can enter the apartments on the top floor. To avoid this, you must do the following:

  • double the diameter of the horizontal box; it is better to do this work with a specialist so as not to disrupt the engineering structure;
  • lead the air ducts of the top floors into the ventilation shaft above the horizontal duct.

In the second case, to improve ventilation, it is enough to lengthen the height of the air channel by one meter using a regular pipe.

We conclude a contract for cleaning ventilation systems

Our company works with individuals and large enterprises under a formal agreement. In addition to industrial ventilation cleaning, we also perform other types of maintenance:

  • Cleaning the ventilation in the apartment.
  • Cleaning of ventilation systems installed at industrial enterprises.
  • We work with ventilation systems in retail facilities and public catering establishments.
  • We clean ventilation ducts in educational institutions.
  • We cooperate with airports, train stations, and other transport companies.

Problems caused by a dirty ventilation system

Problems associated with untimely disinfection of ventilation can be divided into two types:

  • Related to inspection services
  • Related to human health

In Moscow and the Moscow region, disinfection of ventilation is regulated by the Resolution of the Chief Sanitary Doctor (dated August 27, 2004) “On the organization of cleaning and disinfection of ventilation and air conditioning systems.” It stipulates that all organizations, regardless of their form of ownership, are required to conduct an examination of the condition of the supply ventilation at least once every six months. An agreement on this must be concluded with a licensed company. Based on this data, a decision is made on the need for processing and the method of its implementation. Data about this is recorded in the ventilation disinfection log.

When carrying out sanitary control, the enterprise is obliged to provide authorized employees of the regulatory authorities with a whole list of documents, including:

  • Ventilation disinfection contract
  • Certificates of completed work
  • Protocols of laboratory examinations (washes)
  • A log of work performed, including cleaning and disinfection of ventilation and air conditioning systems

Only having the entire list of these documents in hand will the sanitary control be successful. If you refuse to provide documents, the company faces a large fine, suspension of activities until the violations are eliminated, and even loss of license and closure.

A polluted ventilation system is a breeding ground for the development of viruses, bacteria and various pathogenic microflora. People forced to work for a long time under conditions of its negative influence develop various health problems. Among them:

  • Constant drowsiness and chronic fatigue, which leads to loss of concentration, attention and decreased performance
  • The appearance of various allergic reactions, the sources of which are dust, fungal and mold spores that multiply in ventilation. This can lead to the development of asthma, lung and bronchial diseases
  • There is a high risk of infection with various diseases, including tuberculosis, Staphylococcus aureus, food fungi

In addition, due to clogged ventilation, mold, including black mold, may develop in an apartment or other room, and parasites that will be problematic to get rid of in the future. And the unpleasant smell of dampness and mold, from which neither deodorization nor ventilation helps, can cause significant damage to the reputation of the institution. Especially if it is a cafe, restaurant or hotel.

Untimely disinfection of ventilation systems is the cause of increased fire danger. Clogged air ducts, with growths of fatty deposits covered with dust, dirt, and soot, are not only easily flammable, but also a conductor for fire. Especially considering that air is constantly circulating in the system. It is through the ventilation shafts that the fire instantly spreads throughout the building, making it much more difficult to extinguish. Therefore, cleaning and disinfection of ventilation is a requirement not only of Rospotrebnadzor, but also of the fire department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation.

Ventilation cleaning and disinfection can be carried out by companies with a license for this (otherwise you will not receive permits for Rospotrebnadzor and the Ministry of Emergency Situations, which may result in fines during inspections). The Mos Eco-Clean company has all permits.
